The Heart - Fine Art Acrylic Painting

Original One-of-a-Kind Painting: Acrylic on Canvas

Thank you for supporting independent art and visual storytelling. 🤍

This original painting was created during a season of profound emotional and spiritual unraveling, a time marked by confronting childhood trauma, inherited pain, and the hidden darkness that can exist within the human heart.

As I processed grief, memory, fear, and identity, I felt as though I was breaking all over again. The layered words surrounding the heart embody the internal noise I desperately longed to be freed from: shame, violence, insecurity, fear, rage, self-hatred, generational trauma, and emotional wounds carried silently for years.

At the time, I desired healing in Christ without fully understanding that true healing often requires walking through grief, remembrance, and discomfort before restoration can begin.

At the center of the piece is an exposed anatomical heart, fragile yet enduring, symbolizing both suffering and survival. The stark contrast between darkness and light reflects the tension between bondage and redemption, despair and transformation.
